The Manicure is one of my favorites of the albums I have put together. It was a major leap from my crappy old sound into my new, much better sound. It's really where I draw the line from bad to decent. My songs sound better with each one I record, but it seems that there was such a huge leap coming into this album. I could tell from the beginning that something good was in store for this album. It features many classic tracks. "Comic Meet" and "Salesman" remain among my cleverest tracks, "I Don't Know How to Use a Fork" I still believe is among my most well written parodies, and "Parody Star" is just as fun as it gets! "Parody Star" is a song about the parody scene on the World of "Weird Al" Yankovic web forums, the community that got me into parody writing, and it features most of the prominent parodists there. The song is upbeat and a bit nonsensical and packed with in-jokes, but, no matter the audience, people seem to enjoy it. It was the first song of my career that I really sat back and said, "Wow, this sounds GOOD." The song was featured on the WOWAY Awards 2005 with an animated video of the second verse. The title is a parody of The Massacre by 50 Cent.
